Openness of the dataset
What you may do with the file, and what stays with the publishers.
The dataset is published as a single JSON file with a documented shape and a licence. Original text is licensed for reuse; linked sources remain the property of their publishers and the ledger's citation does not transfer any right in them.
That distinction matters for anyone republishing: the claim text is free to reuse, the photograph may not be, and the article behind a citation is the publisher's.

One caveatPhotographs are third-party works. Each is used under the licence printed beside it, and that licence, not this project's, governs reuse.
