Worked example: a claim that was missed

What a failure looks like when the record is written before the outcome is known.

Snapshot 2026-10-25 240 claims 138 citations 209 people

The missed column is small, and that is a feature of an archive this young rather than a sign of accuracy. A miss is recorded the same way as a hit: the claim, the horizon, the evidence and a note that says what happened.

Reading the misses is the best way to understand the grading standard, because a standard that has never produced a failure has never been tested.
